Since 2003, Savor the Season has raised over $3 million while celebrating the Food Bank’s critical partnerships with the local business community.

Join a select group of supporters of our biggest fundraiser of the year, Savor the Season, held in September each year. Sponsorship is for corporate partners interested in making an important investment in our mission to alleviate hunger, and to align with one of the premier non-profit organizations in the Bay Area. This event sells out each year, with more than 500 guests representing business and community leaders from around the Bay Area. As a sponsor, your company will be entitled to outstanding benefits including a gourmet lunch and fine wine for your guests at the picturesque Wente Vineyard in the heart of the Livermore Valley.

Now in its 13th year, Empty Bowls is a family-friendly dinner event that takes place at the Food Bank. Business leaders and community members come together as our warehouse is transformed into a place for dinner and a party to raise funds and awareness, alleviating hunger right here in Alameda County. Sponsorship benefits include promoting your business to new audiences through an invitation mailed to more than 15,000 addresses; aligning your company with one of the Bay Area's premier nonprofit organizations; representing your company at a family-friendly event in front of a sell-out crowd of 500-plus; and receiving acknowledgment in Food Bank publications and web site.
Leadership Series:

Bringing together local community-minded business leaders and thought-provoking speakers, the Leadership Series are more than a networking opportunity -- they also spark engaging conversation on relevant topics. Past speakers have included Robert Reich, Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at University of California, Berkeley and former Clinton administration Secretary of Labor; Marty Lurie, broadcaster and host of the Giants pre- and post-game shows, KNBR; Pete Doctor, Writer and Director - Pixar’s Toy Story, Monsters, Inc. and Up!; and Christina Romer, professor of economics at University of California, Berkeley and former chair of President Barack Obama's Council of Economic Advisors.

These gatherings give the Food Bank a chance to foster new relationships, introduce the enormity of the Food Bank's operation to community leaders, and engage business owners in supporting our work.
