This family-friendly event serves as a reminder of the numerous empty bowls on the tables of low-income families throughout Alameda County. The event educates children and families about the issue of hunger, teaches then about community service, and raises funds for Food Bank programs, such as the Children’s Backpack Program.
Join us for the Food Bank’s signature fundraising event held at the beautiful Wente Vineyards. While showcasing local, fresh California cuisine, this fall event raises money for the Food Bank’s hunger relief and advocacy efforts.
The Holiday Food Drive is the biggest food drive of the year and is vital to the 40,000 people the Food Bank serves each week. During the holidays, this number increases significantly as the demand for food assistance becomes greater.
