Nutrition Education
Making healthy eating a reality for all communities
The Food Bank’s dynamic hunger and Nutrition Education Program serves our 275 member agency partners and their clients – as well as schools and other community partners throughout Alameda County. The Nutrition Education staff:
Educates member agencies and their 49,000 weekly clients how to eat healthy on a budget using food from our warehouse.
Conducts meal preparation workshops and food demonstrations in English and Spanish, using an array of culturally appropriate recipes.
Provides member agencies with reliable, current publications from a broad database of resources.
