Former Charles Schwab Executive Beth Sawi to Serve as Vice President

Oakland, Calif. (January 24, 2005) –The Alameda County Community Food Bank has named two key additions to its Board of Directors during its 20th anniversary year. Chip Conradi, Treasurer and Vice President of Taxes for the Clorox Company, is Board President. Beth Sawi, former Chief Administrative Officer and Executive VP of Marketing for Charles Schwab & Co., was named Vice President.

"Chip's broad financial and operational management experience makes him an invaluable President for the Food Bank as we celebrate our 20th anniversary, move into our new permanent home, and begin a capital campaign," states Suzan Bateson, executive director of the Alameda County Community Food Bank.

Chip's experience spans over 15 years at Bank of America as a tax lawyer and manager in the Finance division and five years at Clorox. Chip's current responsibilities include management of the Clorox Treasury function and its global tax affairs.

Beth worked for Charles Schwab & Co. as Chief Administrative Officer and Executive VP of Marketing, among other positions, for 20 years. She is also the author of Coming Up for Air: How to Live a Balanced Life in a Workaholic World.

"2005 is poised to be a banner year for us, and Beth's strengths will help guide us as we move forward with our plans," Bateson adds.
