Alameda County Community Food Bank Announces Director of Finance

18 January 2007 -- (Oakland, CA) The Alameda County Community Food Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Prescott Donovan as the Food Bank's new Director of Finance, who commenced duties on Tuesday, January 16. Ms. Donovan, a resident of Alameda, has over 12 years as a finance professional in nonprofit organizations, focusing on budgeting, long-range forecasting, analysis and grant management. She will be responsible for the Food Bank’s financial planning and management, accounting, annual audits, business controls, inventory management and external financial relations. She will also serve as a member of the senior management team and provide financial forecasts and analysis to the Board of Directors.

"The Food Bank is in an exciting growth phase with its new building and the added capacity it affords," said Donovan. "I look forward to utilizing my years of experience in guiding the finances and operation of such a worthwhile organization."

For the past seven years, Ms. Donovan has served as the Senior Financial Analyst at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art where she monitored the museum’s annual budget, endowment funds and Federal grants. She holds a MA degree in Public and Private Management from Yale School of Management and received a BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside. She has also worked with San Francisco Works, the San Francisco Symphony and the Exploratorium.
