As a busy college student, Tania tries to eat healthy on a limited budget. On a recent trip to the grocery store, she realized she couldn’t afford nutritious foods like fruits and veggies.

“I bought two apples and that cost more than $5. My money just goes really fast,” she said.

Tania says she’s not going home to southern California for the summer, so she visits the food pantry on campus to round out her meals.

“It helps take off the burden of thinking what is my food plan today,” she said.

No one should struggle to afford healthy food. For students like Tania working toward a college degree, the stakes are high. Healthy food gives her the fuel she needs to succeed in class and focus on her future.

Join the Summer Produce Challenge by July 15 and your gift will be matched, up to $100,000, to provide double the fresh produce for students like Tania.
