Notice anything new? We’re proud and excited to reveal our new logo and website to our community today.

Change isn’t for everyone. But at ACCFB, we’re always up for it. We’ve spent the last three decades changing and adapting to meet community need. And today we’re at one of the most exciting times in our history. Our new site and logo reflects who we are in 2017, and where we’re heading in the future.

For one thing, our new site makes it much easier for community members to find food, or learn if they pre-qualify for CalFresh. Our vision is that with only a few clicks, anyone can find a nearby site to access fresh groceries or a hot meal, or can quickly see how to connect with our helpline.

It also makes it easier for our community to learn all the different ways to get involved in our work ending hunger—from hosting a food drive, to fundraising, to joining our powerful anti-hunger advocates. (Go on, click around.)

Plus, our new logo is the first in our organization’s history. While our old served us well, we came to realize that it didn’t fully represent our work today.  We’re much, much more than an organization that distributes food. So, what story does our new logo tell?

It’s bold and unique – just like us. Solving a problem as profound as hunger means taking steps that make us stand out from the pack.

Equity is critical to our work. We strive to be an inclusive, welcoming organization to all members of our community: agency partners, contributors, staff, food program participants, and volunteers. We hope the balance and vibrancy of our new logo reflects this sense of community and purpose.

Similarly, the many dimensions to our work are all interconnected, like the background of our new logo. Our integrated approach to ending hunger includes food distribution, CalFresh Outreach, research, advocacy, nutrition, anti-poverty work, partnerships with our agencies, and much more.

But our favorite part of our new logo? The word “community” is now bold.

The logo and website aren’t ushering in a new era; rather, they’re just catching up to the organization our community has made us into today.

Thank you. Now, onto tomorrow.
