We're down for the Census count, teaming up with the A's, and so much more!

Sharing stories of hunger

Appeal Banner

After Sandra was let go from her job, she couldn't afford to live in her home. She's one of many people experiencing hunger and homelessness in our county. Many neighbors like Sandra are one emergency away from making decisions between paying for food or rent.
Read Sandra's story and learn how you can increase your civic engagement to ensure a more just and nourished Alameda County.

Thank you, A's Fans!

We were honored that the Oakland A's selected us as their nonprofit partner for this year's Fan Fest! They collected donations and hosted a food drive to benefit our Food Bank. Thanks to all who attended, we're able to provide nearly 2,700 meals to our neighbors! The A's are committed to ending hunger and we're grateful for their continued support.

We "can" end hunger

Every year, County of Alameda employees create imaginative displays out of canned and boxed food to help fight hunger in our community. Now in its eighth year, the Stone Soup Drive has provided thousands of meals to East Bay families. We can't wait to see what they'll can-struct this year!

Save the Date
Join us on May 14 as we celebrate the Food Bank's 35th Anniversary at Empty Bowls! It will be a family-friendly evening of art, nourishment, and advocacy to fill empty bowls in Alameda County.

Share the Love
Skip the flowers this Valentine's Day and give a gift that gives back. You can make a donation to the Food Bank in another person's name and send them a Valentine's Day card
