Find hope and take action this October

Come Visit the Dig Deep Farms Pumpkin Patch

It’s a time-honored tradition: the Ardenwood Historic Farm annual pumpkin patch, which is now part of Dig Deep Farms. Come out to get into the seasonal spirit with food and drinks, games, crafts, and more! The pumpkin patch will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm until October 26.

Bring your family, and pick out your pumpkins, all while supporting a BIPOC-led farm and Food Bank partner! And if you’re looking to further support the event, you can sign up to volunteer.

Government Shutdown: The Food Bank is a Resource

In 2018 we supported approximately 1,200 federal employees—including TSA, Coast Guard, FBP, and IRS—with regular deliveries of healthy nonperishables and bags of fresh produce, directly to their places of employment. It was our goal to ensure they had the most convenient access to nourishment.

We are currently working with partners and local agencies to assess need and coordinate resources. As an emergency response organization, we remain prepared to help in these times.

How can you help? Donations help support this increased need while continuing to sustain our day-to-day hunger relief efforts.

Recovering Food for a More Equitable and Sustainable Future

ACCFB’s Food Recovery Program helps bring recovered food to our agency partners while reducing greenhouse gas emissions caused by food waste. Take a deeper look at how the Food Recovery Program is growing and the impact it’s having with insights from the people behind the work in our latest blog post.

Thanks for Making Savor the Season a Success!

We’re still basking in the glow of a successful Savor the Season event! It was a memorable afternoon filled with joy, community, hope, and action.

This year, we paired estate wines, seasonal food, jazz music, and a lively auction with opportunities to learn more about ACCFB's programs, build momentum to transform food systems, and support our mission of ending hunger and its root causes.

Together, we met our goal of raising over $1 million, enough to provide more than 2 million meals to the community in addition to funding our many critical programs. If you didn't get a chance to donate, there's still time to contribute to the success of Savor the Season.

Thank you to all who attended and who made the event so impactful! And be sure to take a look at what inspired our community to find hope and take action that day.

Screen EARTH SEED at ACCFB on Nov 8

We’ll be partnering with People’s Kitchen Collective to screen the film EARTH SEED on Saturday, November 8 from 1:00-4:00 pm in the Community Engagement Center at ACCFB.

EARTH SEED centers a pilgrimage through California from present-day Los Angeles to Mendocino Woodlands that happened from March – June 2023. Rooted in Octavia Butler’s Parables series, the legacy of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense, and the diaspora of the global south, EARTH SEED enacts radical hospitality as a survival practice. It does so by deepening our relationships with BIPOC activists, artists, educators, farmers, youth, and elders.

Scouting for Food 2025

“A Scout is HELPFUL”

The Golden Gate Area Council – Scouting America and Piedmont Council of Scouts of America will be hosting its annual  Scouting for Food Drive on November 15, 2025, demonstrating the power of service and community engagement.

Last year’s drive was a tremendous success, with the dedicated Scouts and Scouters collecting over 81,351 pounds of food to support community members experiencing food insecurity through Alameda County Community Food Bank.

In addition to collecting non-perishable food, the Scouts aim to raise over $30,000—enough to provide nearly 60,000 meals! You can donate to support this year’s Scouting for Food Campaign and double the impact thanks to a generous $25,000 match!
