Juneteenth Day of Service: Coming Together to Make a Difference
Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States, is a time to honor African American history, heritage, and contributions while reflecting on the ongoing work toward equity and justice. More than 120 volunteers gathered in the Community Engagement Center on June 18 for ACCFB's Juneteenth Day of Service event to eat breakfast together before sorting 28,805 pounds of fresh produce that went out to our community across Alameda County.
Thank you to our incredible individual, Lead Volunteers, and volunteer groups for making this day possible. A Brighter View, Ala Costa, Helping Hands, California School for the Deaf, College Internship Program Berkeley, AAA Mountain West Group, and PG&E—your commitment to community makes a lasting impact!
We’d love to see you at a future day of service or volunteer day. Visit our volunteer calendar to sign up.
