Drive-Ing Toward Dignity  

Did you know that food drives help provide over $1 million worth of quality food for our community? And just as important, the food helps make a huge impact through our Home Delivered Groceries and Ready to Eat bag program for unhoused community members. Read our recent blog to learn about how the variety and quality of food from food drives adds dignity and moves us toward justice.

Fun with Fentons 

The other cherry on top of this sundae is a chance to support our community! In recognition of Hunger Action Month, Fentons’ September Sundae of the Month—the Myrtle Creation—is a Rocky Road Sundae where 10% of sales will go to ACCFB.

Community Events This Fall

We’re excited for some extra special community partnership events coming up this October and November.  

Dig Deep Farms Pumpkin Patch – every Saturday and Sunday in October 

Join ACCFB partner Dig Deep Farms in Ardenwood Historic Farm for the annual Pumpkin Patch. This iconic pumpkin patch has activities for the whole family, and it helps support our food justice work!

East Bay Dirt Classic – October 10 
 

The East Bay Dirt Classic is a 21-mile dirt ride in Anthony Chabot Regional Park. Over the years, this event has helped to raise over half a million dollars for the Food Bank!

Oakland Turkey Trot – November 26 (Thanksgiving) 

Gather with friends and family to build community and fight hunger this Thanksgiving! Sign up for a 5K, 10K, or kid's race around Lake Merritt.
