For Academy Award®-nominated producer Mary Alice Drumm, storytelling is an ever-evolving craft. Her journey through the animation industry spans nearly every medium—from traditional 2D and Flash animation to motion-capture puppetry and television—culminating in her work producing definitive computer-animated feature films.

Now in her 18th year at Pixar Animation Studios, Mary Alice most recently produced the Academy Award®-nominated feature Elio . Her portfolio also includes serving as Associate Producer on the Academy Award®-winning feature films Brave and Coco , as well as the acclaimed The Good Dinosaur , alongside overseeing the Carstoons series and Pixar’s current short film program. Her pre-Pixar roots include work on The Very First Noel , Imagine/Universal’s Curious George , and The Jim Henson Company’s Sid the Science Kid.

When she isn’t collaborating with her teams at Pixar, Mary Alice shares her time with industry and community organizations, serving on the boards of the Producers Guild of America and the Alameda County Community Food Bank. She lives in San Francisco with her wife and three children

Mary Alice is deeply inspired by ACCFB’s pursuit of food justice and the core belief that food is a human right. Having seen members of her own extended family rely on the vital support of food banks, she considers it a profound privilege to serve an organization making such a tangible difference in the Bay Area.
