Information We Collect and How We Use It
In the course of using the Website, we may collect your email addresses for our listserv, payment information for purchases and donations, and certain personal information when you sign up to be a volunteer, organize a food drive, or download our logos. We may also aggregate non-personal information about how the Website is used.
The Food Bank does not sell names or other personal information about our Website users and subscribers, online or off-line supporters, and partners to mass marketers or any other entity. We may use your information in other ways, such as to contact you about Alameda County Community Food Bank activities, partnerships and/or fundraising campaigns; to conduct matching on Facebook or other social media; or as otherwise disclosed to you at the point of collection. Occasionally, the Food Bank exchanges its mailing list with like-minded organizations. All offline donation remittance forms provide donors the option of opting-out of such exchanges. If you do not want your name included in these exchanges, would like to adjust your mail preferences or would like to update your personal data, you can also do so by calling us at (510) 635-3663 or sending us an email at email@example.com.
We reserve the right to use personal information to protect the security or integrity of our Website; to protect against a threat to personal safety or destruction of property; to protect against legal liability; and/or to cooperate with government officials or parties in litigation, or as otherwise required by law. We may also share personal information with our successors and assigns in accordance with law.

We are pleased when youth visit our Website to learn more about the Food Bank and the problem of hunger in Alameda County. While our volunteer activities are open to anyone aged 10 or older, we do not knowingly solicit data from children or knowingly seek donations from children under the age of 18.
