Food & Fund Drives

Start a Virtual Food Drive

Exciting News! We have a new and improved tool that allows you to host Virtual Food Drives (VFD) and inspire your neighbors, co-workers, family and friends to join you in uprooting hunger in Alameda County. The new experience will make it easier to get started, customize, and digitally promote your VFD. We can’t wait to share it with you!

Virtual Food Drives will continue to allow you to “shop” for our most needed items such as milk, fresh eggs, and fruits and veggies – foods that can’t go into a food barrel. And, it’s the best deal virtually anywhere! Thanks to our bulk purchasing power, the money you’d spend in a grocery store to fill just one food drive barrel is enough to fill 3-4 virtual barrels. That’s 3-4 times the healthy food and peace of mind for families impacted by the pandemic.
