What is a DAF?

Donor Advised Fund (DAF) accounts allow you to make charitable contributions, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to organizations—like ours!

By contributing assets (like cash, appreciated stock, or crypto) to a DAF, you lock in an immediate tax deduction for that fiscal year. The funds can then be invested to grow tax-free, allowing you to strategically distribute grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofits—such as Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB)—so that we can supply nutritious food to our community!
