Smiling volunteers helping us make the day a success at their local Safeway

The Saturday before Thanksgiving is one of the year’s biggest grocery shopping days—and also kicks off one of our biggest annual campaigns. How do we pull it off? Volunteers!

On Saturday, November 18, Safeway will kick off their “Nourishing Neighbors” holiday campaign, during which customers can donate at the register to supply healthy, nonperishable food for families in our community.

1 in 4 of us needs help keeping nutritious food on the table, and our goal this year is to encourage food donations equaling over 250,000 meals in Alameda County alone!

Volunteers’ energy and helping hands are absolutely critical to making this day a success.

Sign up below for a shift (10 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 12 p.m.–2 p.m.) at your local Safeway:

We’re excited for you to join us!
