We believe that creating a healthy and prosperous community requires meeting the immediate needs of our community while also working toward long-term solutions that ensure food access and economic security for all.

Community Organizing
We believe everyone has a role to play in shaping a fair and just food system. But solving hunger requires more than just giving out food—it requires addressing the root causes of food insecurity: poverty, racism, and systems of oppression. Organizing allows us to build power from within communities, challenging the inequalities of the food system and advocating for policies that create sustainable solutions.
By organizing, we bring people together to fight for real, long-term change. We equip community members with the skills to take action, advocate for themselves, and demand the systems they deserve. The Food Justice Organizing Task Force is a key part of our movement to create a world where everyone has access to nourishing food and the power to influence the systems that affect their lives.
By joining the Food Justice Organizing Task Force, you will be part of a community of like-minded individuals who are committed to taking action and creating systemic change. With the task force, you will:
- Build Skills: Gain leadership development, organizing, and advocacy skills.
- Plan and Take Action: Collaborate with others to carry out actions that drive change.
- Grow the Movement: Recruit new activists and help expand the reach of our work.
