Steve LowenthalFarella Braun + Martel LLP

Steve graduated from UC Berkeley (1979) and Stanford Law School (1982) and worked for a single law firm for over 41 years – Farella Braun + Martel in San Francisco. He was the Managing Partner for 12 of those years and has handled commercial litigation matters as an attorney, and has served on a number of legal and community-focused Boards over the years, including most recently more than a decade with Legal Aid Society/Legal Aid at Work, and as a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for the Legal Profession at Stanford Law School.

A resident of Alameda County for 37 years, it made sense for Steve to shift his focus to community engagement time on Alameda County issues, including the ACCFB, where he and his wife have been donors for many years. He’s come to appreciate the amazing work done by the organization and was inspired at the Savor the Season and the work being done by ACCFB.

Steve has been married for 42 years; his wife is employed by the Alameda County Department of Public Health as a Pediatric Physical Therapist, working with neurologically challenged kids and their families. They have two adult children and three wonderful little grandchildren that they enjoy many hobbies with. Term expires: 3/31/27
