Kate CheyneDirector of Community Health & Evaluation

Kate joined the Food Banking community in 2014, at a time when the organization was just beginning to form a vision for the development of a practice of research and evaluation. Her role began by managing the Food Bank’s participation in formal research projects, and in creating data analytics and geospatial mapping pipelines to understand need across Alameda County communities. From those early years, her leadership has helped the Food Bank re-frame our goals from outputs to outcomes, and sharpened a vision for our work that now includes healthcare partnerships. She oversees our nutrition, health, research/evaluation and analytics. ACCFB is and has been so much more than an organization content to push any food out our doors. We are challenging ourselves to be an accountable partner in health to the households and communities we are connected to, and to articulate our impact in health equity.
