Michael joined Alameda County Community Food Bank in 2011, managing the Food Bank’s communications efforts for nearly 7 years. In 2018 he became Director of Community Engagement and Marketing, now overseeing the Food Bank’s breadth of communications, marketing and volunteer efforts – while working across the organization to build and support ways for the community to deepen engagement with ACCFB. Michael came to ACCFB from Edelman, and with nearly a decade of media relations and crisis/reputation management for nonprofit and Fortune 500 clients alike. His professional experience also includes various roles in lifestyle, music and sports marketing. A native Californian, Michael has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington.
