Every month, we serve 116,000 adults, children, and seniors—from Berkeley to Livermore, Oakland to Fremont.

That includes two-year-old Zoey and her family. Zoey and her mom head to their local Mobile Market at a nearby high school to pick up groceries like eggs, bread, fruits and veggies.

Our Mobile Market trucks head out to over 42 neighborhood sites, including schools and colleges, health centers, parks, and more to distribute healthy staples and fresh produce.

Picking up the groceries helps Zoey’s family with their food budget, as Zoey’s mom said she often doesn’t have to grocery shop for about a week. And all the fresh fruits and veggies ensure that Zoey and her two sisters and her brother have the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

“It’s so helpful,” Zoey’s mom said, adding she likes all the vegetables, and appreciates the food is fresh. “I use it to feed my kids, and feed my family.”

How can you pitch in and help support families like Zoey’s this holiday season? Volunteer, donate, or advocate. However you choose to get involved, you’ll be investing in a stronger, more nourished Alameda County.
