We serve an immense need in Alameda County: 1 in 5 neighbors turn to us for support. To raise awareness and combat the issue, ACCFB, Walmart, and Feeding America are kicking off the sixth annual nationwide “Fight Hunger. Spark Change.” campaign.

This campaign, which runs until May 20, comes at a critical time with more people than ever relying on our Food Bank to help make ends meet. The rising cost of living in the Bay Area is stretching families’ budgets to their limit.

That’s why we’re so grateful for Walmart’s ongoing commitment to supporting our community, believing that everyone should have access to affordable, nutritious food.

Walmart now invites Alameda County shoppers to help end hunger here in Alameda County. And, there are three ways you can make a difference:

  • Purchase participating products at Walmart stores or online. Each participating item purchased at Walmart will unlock a donation equivalent to at least one meal.
  • Make a donation at checkout.
  • Donate online.

With 749 million meals donated over the last five years through Fight Hunger. Spark Change., you can help the Feeding America network secure its goal of providing 1 billion meals. All donations made from sales in local stores will stay right here in Alameda County.

Together, we can fight hunger and create a community where everyone can thrive.
